New Delhi: Indian cricketer Pooja Vastrakar, known for her prowess in the women's cricket team, found herself in the midst of controversy after sharing a post on Instagram titled 'Vasooli Titans,' which appeared to mock Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and other BJP leaders. However, Vastrakar deleted the post as it began gaining traction on social media platforms.
Despite her efforts to remove the post, screenshots of the controversial content circulated widely across various social media channels, sparking a wave of reactions from netizens. Some interpreted the post as supportive of the Congress party, while others cautioned Vastrakar about potential repercussions on her career for sharing such content.
One user on X, @troller_Adi18, commented, "Ye to Congress ka post hai," while another user @Raviteja1234_ expressed concern, stating, "Pagal Aurat delete kar jaldi Career khatam ho jayega."
Speculation arose among users that Vastrakar might claim her account was hacked, drawing parallels to previous incidents where Congress leaders distanced themselves from controversial remarks attributed to them. One user, @Mogemmbo, suggested, "Pooja: Mere account ka access kai logo ke paas hai, jo log mujhe jaante wo samjhte hain ki main aisi post kar hi nahin sakti."
Subsequently, she addressed the issue by posting another story on Instagram, stating, "Hi. It has come to my notice that a highly objectionable image was posted from my Instagram account. This happened at a time when my phone was not in my possession. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the honourable Prime Minister and sincerely apologize for the hurt this has caused."
Vastrakar, an all-rounder playing for Madhya Pradesh and India, made her international debut in 2018 against South Africa.

Indore, May 10 (PTI): The Holkar Stadium in Indore received a bomb blast threat, with the unidentified sender of an e-mail warning of retaliation in response to Operation Sindoor, police said on Saturday.
The threat turned out to be a hoax.
"MPCA's (Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association) official email (ID) on Friday received a threatening message. The email, written in English, mentions that the stadium will be blasted due to 'Operation Sindoor' (of Indian armed forces)," Tukoganj police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Yadav told PTI.
After being alerted by MPCA, four teams of police personnel and a bomb squad thoroughly searched the stadium's premises for five hours.
"No suspicious thing was found in the Holkar stadium," Yadav said.
Police are trying to trace the origin of the hoax e-mail in collaboration with the cyber squad, and legal action will be taken.
Prima facie, the email seems a "copy-paste" job for mischief, although the police are investigating various aspects, an officer said.
The officer said that in the past months, fake emails threatening to bomb Indore airport, bank branches, hospitals, and schools have been received.
He said an accused has been arrested in one case.
