Meerut: In a bizarre matrimonial advertisement which has gone viral on social media, a Meerut-based investor claimed his income of Rs 29 lakh per annum is “compoundingly increasing” by 54 percent every year and offered to send a PowerPoint presentation on safe investing to potential matches.

The matrimonial advertisement begins with descriptions of “intellectual, handsome and smart” man and his caste, but quickly shifts to highlight his financial skills. “Investor (Indian stock market), earning 29 LPA (actual, present). Income and net worth compoundingly increasing every year by 54% (self-discovered, self-taught work),” reads the ad.

He also offers to share a 16-slide PowerPoint presentation via WhatsApp, detailing his strategies for “safe investing” and how it makes him “financially independent".

The 26-year-old specified that he seeks a partner who is “cultured, intelligent, wise, good-natured,” adding, “no demand.”

The ad has sparked mixed comments on X, ranging from amusement to scepticism. “54% compounding—boss, this guy will beat Buffett very soon,” wrote one user. Others raised caution, with one user warning, “Beware—probably phishing attempt! There are several tell-tale red flags!”
