Bijnor: Fayaz Ansari, a makeup artist from Bijnor who accompanied former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan for the ongoing T20 World Cup, tragically drowned in a swimming pool in the West Indies on June 21. Ansari, who had been Pathan's personal makeup artist for a long time, was part of Pathan's team for the T20 World Cup, where Pathan is working as a commentator.

Ansari, originally from Nagina in Bijnor, had moved to Mumbai 22 years ago and started his own salon. Pathan became a regular at Ansari's salon, eventually making him his personal makeup artist and taking him along on international trips.

Mohammad Ahmed, Ansari's cousin, stated that Ansari drowned in a hotel swimming pool in the West Indies on Friday evening, June 21. His sudden death has deeply affected his family, including his wife and relatives.

Ahmed mentioned that Irfan Pathan is personally managing all formalities in the West Indies to repatriate Ansari's body to India. The family plans to receive the body in Delhi, a process expected to take about three to four days.

Patna: Bihar has witnessed yet another bridge collapse, marking the sixth such incident in a span of just ten days. The latest collapse occurred in Thakurganj, where a bridge built in 2007-2008 succumbed to rising water levels in the Bund River after heavy rains.

The structure developed a significant crack and sank by a foot, after which authorities deemed it unsafe for use. Located in Khoshi Dangi village of Patharia panchayat, the bridge was crucial for connecting several panchayats, impacting around 60,000 residents, according to NDTV.

This incident follows a series of collapses starting from June 19, beginning with an under-construction bridge in Araria. Subsequent incidents occurred in Siwan (June 22), East Champaran (June 23), Kishanganj (June 24), and an under-construction bridge in Madhubani (June 28).
