Ranchi (Jharkhand): Kishore Kumar Rajak, a DSP ranked officer in the Jharkhand Police has shared a video of his wife physically assaulting him and has alleged that the wife harasses him regularly.
The wife, identified as Varsha Srivastava, is seen assaulting Kumar in the video and then running out of the house alleging Kumar to be assaulting him instead, while the whole incident is captured on the camera.
Kumar who is a 2016 batch officer in Jharkhand Police stated that he was violently assaulted by his wife and was left bleeding while she ran out of the house. He shared the video along with a series of tweets detailing the incident.
In the video, Varsha is seen trying to dress their kid while the infant is running toward Kumar. Evidently miffed by the child’s attachment with Kumar who offers to dress the kid as he was not allowing Varsha to dress him, Varsha assaults him and leaves him with wounds on his arm.
Varsha after assaulting Kumar and after realizing that her act was caught on camera, started blaming Kumar for assaulting her and runs.
Kumar further said that he was afraid that his wife would hurt herself by hitting her head on the wall and hence he called the cops to his house to brief the situation.
In the tweets, Kumar said while the cops were trying to track his wife, she admitted herself to a hospital after filing a case of domestic violence at Ramgarh Women Police Station against Kumar.
He further added that their marriage was “trapped and accidental” as Varsha had gotten married to him by blackmailing him of filing a rape case against him.
“My wife has so far filed at least six FIRs against me and my family,” Kumar said in his tweets.

Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Saturday strongly opposed the central government’s proposed ‘One Nation One Election’ initiative.
Shivakumar expressed his views at a dialogue on ‘One Nation One Election’ organised by the Joint Parliamentary Study Committee.
He said the plan is a politically motivated, power-centralising scheme that would seriously damage India’s federal structure by weakening states and poses a threat to the democratic system, according to a statement from his office.
As KPCC president and deputy CM of Karnataka, he categorically rejected the proposal, stating that it is being crafted to suit the convenience of those in power at the Centre.
Shivakumar said that the Karnataka Legislative Assembly had already passed a resolution opposing ‘One Nation One Election’ and read out the resolution at the meeting.
He firmly stated that it is “not a workable plan” and added that it is “practically impossible.”
“If a government falls midterm due to political instability, a no-confidence motion, or loss of majority, what is the solution?” he asked.
“Elections are held at different times in different states for different terms. Karnataka had its election in 2023, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala had theirs in 2021, and Punjab and Telangana in 2022 and 2023, respectively. How can these elections with varying schedules be synchronised?” he asked.
He added that the proposal is a ploy to suppress the voices of regional and Opposition parties.
He also said the Karnataka government does not agree with the proposal and remains committed to the position of the Congress party’s national leadership.
