New Delhi: Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third term on Sunday, reports indicate that BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda has resigned from his position and is expected to be sworn in as a cabinet minister.

Nadda, a senior BJP leader, previously served as the Health Minister in Modi's first government before resigning to become the party chief.

The swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 9 will see thirty ministers take oath along with PM Modi.

In the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party secured 240 seats, falling 32 short of the majority number. N. Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party and Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), with a combined total of 28 seats, have extended their support to Modi.

Bengaluru: K.N. Rajanna, Cabinet Minister for Cooperation of Karnataka state, has submitted his resignation from the ministerial position.

On August 11, he met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha and handed over his resignation letter. Reports indicate that the decision was taken following directions from the Congress high command.

Earlier, K.N. Rajanna had questioned opposition leader Rahul Gandhi’s claims of voter fraud, stating, “Voter fraud occurred during the Lok Sabha elections. However, the voter list was prepared when the Congress government was in power. Why did everyone remain silent then?”
