Bengaluru: In a circular issued on the 25th of July, The Government of Karnataka has revised its price rates for COVID-19 RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen testing.
The state task force committee has reconsidered the rates to be charged by the private laboratories for the RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen testing.
As per the new revised rate, the rate of RT-PCR testing for the samples sent by the state government to private laboratories is Rs 2,000 per test inclusive of the cost of PPE kit. The amount also includes screening and confirmatory tests.
Similarly, The ceiling rate for private voluntary RT-PCR tests will cost Rs 3,000, including screening test and PPE kit. And the rate of Rapid Antigen Test for private voluntary samples in private laboratories is Rs 700 per sample inclusive of PPE kit.

Mullanpur (PTI): Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets in their Indian Premier League match here on Tuesday.
Invited to bat, opener Prabhsimran Singh scored 59 up front while Marcus Stoinis provided the final flourish with an unbeaten 62 off 22 balls as Punjab Kings posted 222 for 4.
The Royals then put up a collective batting effort to overhaul the target with four balls to spare.
Earlier, leg spinner Yash Punja picked up two wickets for the visitors.
