Kerala floods: Hindu Mahasabha’s website hacked, ‘spicy beef curry’ recipe put up
NEW DELHI, Aug 24 : The Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha’s official website was hacked purportedly by Team Kerala Cyber Warriors on Friday and was restored late in the evening. The landing page of the website (http://www.abhm.org.in/) had displayed a recipe to make “Kerala Spicy Nadan Beef Curry”.
The website hacking was apparently in response to ABHM chief Swami Chakrapani’s controversial remarks that only those who do not consume beef should be helped in Kerala floods. The website had also flashed a message for “Chakrapani psycho”, saying “We respect people for their character and not for their food habits.”
The self-styled godman said that many innocent people died in the floods because a few people kill cows and exhibit in shops. “Those people who were eating cow meat in Kerala until now-they used to cut up the cow and present it, they used to tease the environment and those who consider the cow sacred. They used to cut up cows and eat it and distribute it. The way they insulted the cow and killed it, this is the consequence of that,” Chakrapani had told Times Now.
“Even innocents have been affected in Kerala today because of their misdeeds. Those who eat cow meat over there or are involved in killing cows, they should not be given any relief at all-whether it’s from the government or in kind,” he had said.
“If there is any emergency, they must take a pledge that they will never eat meat in the future. Those who eat cow meat are the incarnation of the devil himself. If courts cannot probe cow killings, if governments cannot act against it, this is why the enviornment is reacting this way–it is taking revenge. If you upset the natural enviornment, this is how it will react,” Chakrapani added.
Hours after the hacking, the website had offline with 403 forbidden error message.
Kerala is reeling from the aftermath of the unprecedented floods that left over 230 people dead and many injured, causing colossal damage to the property and infrastructure of the state. As per the initial assessment, the state government has estimated that it has suffered a loss of over Rs 19,000 crore.

UP: Govt hospital staff booked for sexually assaulting woman in pretext of ultrasound test
Gorakhpur (PTI): A hospital employee was booked for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in the pretext of an ultrasound test here in the district women's hospital, police said on Saturday.
According to the complaint, the woman, a resident of the Gulriha area, visited the district women's hospital on Thursday morning for an ultrasound test.
She was directed to a room, where Abhimanyu Gupta was conducting ultrasounds. When her turn came, the accused allegedly stared at her and told her to remove all her clothes, claiming it was necessary for the test and that a massage would also be required, she said.

The woman alleged that once she complied, the accused began making obscene advances and tried to force himself on her. When she screamed, he allegedly gagged her, abused her and threatened to kill her before pushing her out of the room.
She said her complaints within the hospital went unheard, forcing her to approach the police.
Taking cognisance of the complaint, the hospital administration constituted a three-member inquiry committee, officials said.
Senior consultant (paediatrics) Dr Jay Kumar said, "The woman has levelled serious allegations against a staff member. Senior officials have been informed, and a departmental inquiry is underway. Strict action will be taken if the charges are proved."
Kotwali Station House Officer Chatrapal Singh said a case has been registered, and efforts are on to nab the accused.
