Kerala floods: Hindu Mahasabha’s website hacked, ‘spicy beef curry’ recipe put up
NEW DELHI, Aug 24 : The Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha’s official website was hacked purportedly by Team Kerala Cyber Warriors on Friday and was restored late in the evening. The landing page of the website (http://www.abhm.org.in/) had displayed a recipe to make “Kerala Spicy Nadan Beef Curry”.
The website hacking was apparently in response to ABHM chief Swami Chakrapani’s controversial remarks that only those who do not consume beef should be helped in Kerala floods. The website had also flashed a message for “Chakrapani psycho”, saying “We respect people for their character and not for their food habits.”
The self-styled godman said that many innocent people died in the floods because a few people kill cows and exhibit in shops. “Those people who were eating cow meat in Kerala until now-they used to cut up the cow and present it, they used to tease the environment and those who consider the cow sacred. They used to cut up cows and eat it and distribute it. The way they insulted the cow and killed it, this is the consequence of that,” Chakrapani had told Times Now.
“Even innocents have been affected in Kerala today because of their misdeeds. Those who eat cow meat over there or are involved in killing cows, they should not be given any relief at all-whether it’s from the government or in kind,” he had said.
“If there is any emergency, they must take a pledge that they will never eat meat in the future. Those who eat cow meat are the incarnation of the devil himself. If courts cannot probe cow killings, if governments cannot act against it, this is why the enviornment is reacting this way–it is taking revenge. If you upset the natural enviornment, this is how it will react,” Chakrapani added.
Hours after the hacking, the website had offline with 403 forbidden error message.
Kerala is reeling from the aftermath of the unprecedented floods that left over 230 people dead and many injured, causing colossal damage to the property and infrastructure of the state. As per the initial assessment, the state government has estimated that it has suffered a loss of over Rs 19,000 crore.

Labour contractor led Mumbai police to Saif Ali Khan's attacker in Thane
Mumbai: A labour contractor helped the Mumbai police track down the attacker, who stabbed actor Saif Ali Khan, in the neighbouring Thane district, an official said on Sunday.
The police have arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir (30), a Bangladeshi national, for the attack that took place at the Bollywood star's house in Bandra in the early hours of Thursday.
The official said the crime branch and the local police had formed multiple teams to trace the accused, who had eluded them for more than two days.
During the probe, the police found that the accused was seen outside Dadar railway station thrice and had gone to Worli Koliwada, he said.
The police examined hundreds of CCTV footage and found out that the attacker had visited a labour contractor in the area, the official said.
He said the labour contractor gave the police all the details about the attacker, and based on his direction, the police traced him to a labour camp in a forested area in Thane, from where he was apprehended.
The official said the accused had worked for a Thane-based hotel in the past, and so far, no criminal record in his name has come to light.

Khan (54) underwent emergency surgery at the Lilavati Hospital, where he was rushed following the incident that took place around 2.30 am at his apartment in the 'Satguru Sharan' building. He is recovering and may be discharged soon, doctors said.
