(Press Release) - Life Insurance Corporation of India is proud to announce that it has earned a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDSTM title for “Most life insurance policies sold in 24 hours.” This historic achievement, verified by GWR, recognizes the extraordinary performance of the Corporation's dedicated agency network on 20.01.2025.
On 20.01.2025, a total of 4,52,839 agents of Life Insurance Corporation of India successfully completed and issued an astounding 5,88,107 life insurance policies across India. This monumental effort established a new global benchmark for agent productivity in the life insurance industry within a 24-hour period.

The record attempt was the culmination ofa thoughtful initiative by Mr. Siddhartha Mohanty, CEO&MD, LIC in the form of an appeal to every Agent to complete at least One Policy on “Mad Million Day” i.e. on January 20, 2025.

LIVE | Panchayat Election Results: Countdown to vote counting....
New Delhi: The countdown has begun for the counting of votes for the Assembly elections in five states that have captured the attention of people across the country.
The counting of votes for the Assembly constituencies of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and the Union Territory of Puducherry will begin simultaneously at 8 am, and the fate of candidates in a total of 824 constituencies will be decided shortly.
The counting of postal ballots will take place first, followed by the counting of EVM votes in several rounds.

- TMC, BJP lead in one seat each in West Bengal
In Tamil Nadu, DMK leads in 3 constituencies, while TVK leads in 1 - UDF leads in 5 seats in Kerala, BJP in 1, LDF in 1
