“Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 4.0” was organized with the theme “Clean India, Healthy India” today by Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Zonal Office, Hyderabad. Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run was flagged off by LK Shamsunder, Zonal Manager from Zonal Office via Mint Compound, Imax, Lumbini Park and back to Zonal Office.
During the Freedom Run, about 300 staff from the Zonal Office and Hyderabad Divisional Office participated carrying placards. This year, Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from 30th October to 5th November 2023 on the theme “Say no to corruption; commit to the Nation”.
LK Shamsunder, Zonal Manager spoke on the occasion explaining the importance of Fit India and said that this programme was organized to encourage citizens, particularly youngsters to be aware of their health and do regular running and exercise to keep themselves fit and healthy.
The fight against corruption is a long-drawn process and needs concerted efforts on multiple fronts. Shamsunder appealed to all the employees to actively participate in the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week and contribute to the cause of combating corruption and building a better society and corruption-free nation. Sunandan, Zonal Vigilance Officer administered the integrity pledge circulated by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
P Ramesh Babu, R Sateesh Babu, Rajesh Bharadwaj, Uthup Joseph, MMP nivas Rao, Rajib Biswas and other senior officials were also present.

Mumbai (PTI): Ryan Rickelton's whirlwind unbeaten ton was overshadowed by Heinrich Klaasen's unbeaten 65 as Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by six wickets in an IPL match here on Wednesday.
Chasing an imposing 244-run target, Travis Head (76 off 30) and Abhishek Sharma (45 off 24) shared 129 runs for the opening wicket to set the platform for SRH.
Klaasen (65 not out off 30 balls) then displayed his all-round hitting abilities to guide SRH home with the help of Nitish Kumar Reddy (21) and Salil Arora (30 not out off 10) in 18.4 overs.
Earlier, Rickelton's knock powered MI to 243 for five.
MI rode on a 93-run stand between Rickelton (123 not out off 55 balls) and Will Jacks (46 off 22) in 7.1 overs for the opening stand to power the side.
MI skipper Hardik Pandya scored a valuable 31 off 15 balls before being dismissed.
Praful Hinge (2/54), Eshan Malinga (1/29), Sakib Hasan (1/39) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/31) were the wicket-takers for SRH.
