Lucknow: BJP leader in Sitapur district, Umesh Mishra, has been accused of causing the death of a man who was being rushed to hospital in an ambulance on Saturday, as the leader’s unattended car blocked the road.

Family members of the deceased patient have alleged that Mishra, when confronted for his negligent act, threatened with dire consequences, reports NDTV.

The patient, Suresh Chandra, complained of chest pain on Saturday and was being taken to a Lucknow hospital, as the district hospital doctors said that he was having a heart attack. They had just left the district hospital when they were forced to stop as Mishra’s car blocked the road. The ambulance could not move for more than 30 minutes.

Suresh Chandra died in the ambulance, writhing in pain.

When the BJP leader returned and was confronted on the matter, he is learned to have verbally abused the patient’s relatives.

A video clip recorded by eye-witnesses and uploaded on social media shows Mishra, claiming to be the brother of BJP leader and Block Chief Ramkinkar Pandey, and yelling at the patient’s brother-in-law. Mishra is also seen threatening to get the latter from in police case, adding that he would get him ‘finished’, as the district magistrate and police superintendent worked at his instructions.

Policemen are also seen in the video, watching Mishra fuming at the relatives, but taking no action.

Mishra is learned to have then left the place in his car.

The video has gone viral on social media, with people severely criticizing the police for its alleged inaction on the occasion.

New Delhi: In a recent incident, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared an old video of the Peru Rail train to Machu Picchu, mistakenly presenting it as India's Vande Bharat train. This misrepresentation has sparked a wave of criticism on social media.

Mohammed Zubair took to X, humorously thanking Prime Minister Modi for "starting a Vistadome train in Peru," questioning the minister's intelligence. Another user commented, "The infamous railway minister himself posted this!!!" highlighting the blatant error.

Critics expressed their discontent, with one stating, "Under Modi's leadership, there was already an army of idiots but now even blind people have joined them. Peru Rail is clearly written on the engine, yet it is said to be from India. Shameful. #reelminister."

Further comments emerged, with another post stating, "New video posted by the reel minister. Carrying umbrella for the goras is the development idea for the sanghis. The reel Vishwaguru."

“Looks like our Railway Minister has unlocked the ultimate level of patriotism—rebranding international trains as 'Make in India'! Who knew Machu Picchu was the latest stop on the Vande Bharat express?,” another user wrote.
