Manipur: 2 arrested, arms and ammunition seized
Imphal (PTI): Two persons have been arrested and arms and ammunition seized from their possession in separate incidents in Manipur's Imphal East district, police said on Saturday.
One person, identified as Thoudam Ranjan Singh (41), was arrested from the locality of his residence at Leimakhong Mapal Mamang Leikai on Thursday and nine 9mm cartridges were seized from his possession, a police statement said.
Security forces also arrested 35-year-old Karam Mani Meitei from his residence at Thongju Part-II, Pichu Lampak Ningombam Leirak on Friday and seized a 9mm pistol with magazine, it added.

US–Iran first round direct talks conclude in Islamabad: Report

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
