Martyr's day: Hindu Mahasabha leader fires at Gandhi's effigy, celebrates
Aligarh, Jan.30: While the entire nation pay homage to father of nation Mahatma Gandhi a woman leader of Hindu Mahasabha celebrated the occasion by firing at Gandhi's effigy.
The shocking incident took place in Aligarh on Wednesday. National secretary of Hindu Mahasabha Pooja Shakun is the lady in the question.
While celebrating the killing of Gandhi by Nathuram Godse, Shakun apparently fired at Gandhi's effigy. The effigy was made to spill blood as soon as the lady fire at it, a report said. She used toy gun for this purpose report stated.
She then garlanded the statue of Nathuram Godse and distributed sweets to supporters.
While the entire nation observes the death anniversary of Gandhiji as martyr's day, Hindu Mahasabha celebrates it as Shaurya Divas.

Mysterious blast outside house in J-K's Samba, no one injured
Jammu (PTI): A mysterious blast occurred in a village in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir early Monday, officials said.
The blast took place near the main gate of the residence of former sarpanch Jai Ram Sharma at Gawala Talab, some 10 km from the International Border in the Ghagwal sector around 2 am, the officials said.
They said the blast uprooted the gate and a portion of the boundary wall but caused no casualty.
A team of forensic experts visited the site and took samples from the scene to ascertain the cause of the explosion, they said.
Police have registered an FIR, the officials said, adding senior officers are on the scene and further investigation is on.
