Meerut: Couple, three daughters found dead, police suspect foul play
Meerut: The bodies of a couple and their three daughters were discovered late Thursday night in a house in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred in the Lisadi Gate police station area. According to authorities, the three daughters’ bodies were found stuffed inside a bed box.
Meerut SSP Vipin Tada stated that the house was locked from the outside, and when the family failed to respond to repeated calls, concerned locals informed the police. Upon entering through the roof, police discovered the bodies of Moin, his wife Asma, and their daughters Afsa (8), Azeez (4), and Abida (1).
Preliminary investigations suggest that someone familiar with the family might have committed the crime. SSP Tada mentioned that the motive could be linked to past disputes.
The police found the victims' legs tied with bedsheets. Forensic experts and senior investigators are collecting evidence from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Biker injured, leopard dies in road accident near forest area in Shivamogga
Shivamogga: A leopard was killed after being hit by a motorcycle near Mandagadde in Thirthahalli taluk of Shivamogga district.
According to reports, the biker was travelling from Shivamogga towards Thirthahalli when the leopard suddenly came onto the road from a nearby forest area near Mandagadde. The rider is said to have lost control of the bike and crashed into the animal.
The leopard suffered severe injuries in the impact and died on the spot. The biker also fell onto the road along with the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. He was shifted to a hospital in Shivamogga for further treatment.
After receiving information about the incident, forest department officials, including Gajanur RFO Vinay Kumar, visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
