Punjab: Amidst the farmer protests in the state of Punjab, local Muslim communities have come forward in arranging food and drinks for the protesting farmers, setting a new example harmony, diversity and brotherhood amongst people of different communities of the country.

The incident has taken place in Malerkota town in the state, wherein Muslims have setup food camps near the protesting sites of farmers of the state who are protesting farm bills passed by Parliament earlier this week.

The pictures of the food camps setup by Muslims are now viral across social media platforms with people lauding the efforts of Muslims in supporting the farmers.

Interestingly, Sikhs from Punjab had come from their state to Delhi and setup similar camps for people protesting against CAA, NRC at Shaheen Bagh.

Writing about the same, Harsha Mander wrote on Twitter “Farmers from Punjab came to Shaheen Bagh to establish Langar in solidarity with their sisters protesting CAA/NRC. Now Muslim youth from Malerkotla serve food in solidarity with protesting farmers of Punjab. With these bonds of love that bind us, India is safe”.
