Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has retorted to election strategist Prashant Kishor’s charge that Kumar is still in close touch with the BJP by saying that Kishor was speaking for his own publicity.

“He (Kishor) can speak whatever he wants. He keeps talking. He speaks for his own publicity. He’s young and will say anything,” Nitish Kumar told reporters on Friday.

The Bihar Chief Minister said that he ceased to respect the election strategist. “Those whom I respected have misbehaved with me, you all know that!” Kumar said, reported NDTV.

Kumar broke off ties with the BJP and joined hands again with the RJD in August. Kishor has been continually needling Kumar that he might change his alliance and rejoin with the BJP if needed. “He (Kumar) is in touch with the BJP through his party MP and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairperson Harivansh ji,” Kishor has said.

Tiruchirappalli (PTI): A Bengaluru bound Air India Express flight with about 137 passengers made an "emergency landing," here following a technical glitch, sources at the airport said.

The Thiruvananthapuram-Bengaluru service suffered the glitch mid-air, following which it made the safe landing here, the sources added.

All the passengers disembarked the flight and the technical crew was attending to the fault.

An Air India Express spokesperson said the flight "was diverted to Tiruchirappalli due to a technical issue."

"A replacement aircraft is being organised to operate the flight to Bengaluru. We are providing all administrative arrangements and regret the inconvenience caused to the travel schedule (of passengers)," the spokesperson added.
