Patna (PTI): JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar on Thursday was sworn in as the chief minister of Bihar for a record 10th time at the Gandhi Maidan here.

Governor Arif Mohammed Khan administered the oath of office and secrecy to him.

Kumar took the oath on the Constitution of India.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president J P Nadda and several other top leaders of the NDA.

 

The event was also attended by chief ministers of several NDA ruled states.

Koppal: Munirabad Police Station PSI Sunil has been suspended for alleged failure in discharging administrative responsibilities.

The suspension order was issued by Superintendent of Police Ram Arasiddhi.

Sunil had been serving as PSI at Munirabad Police Station for the past two years. During this period, several illegal activities were reported from his jurisdiction, including parties involving foreigners, illegal stone quarrying and illegal sale of Anna Bhagya rice.

Following these developments, action has been taken against him for not properly managing administration and dereliction of duty, leading to his suspension, officials said.
