Patna: Youtuber Manish Kashyap locked in room, beaten up by junior doctors
Patna: Popular YouTuber and BJP leader Manish Kashyap was allegedly locked in a room and physically assaulted by junior doctors at Patna Medical College Hospital on Monday, following a heated altercation.
According to a report by India Today, Kashyap visited the hospital in the afternoon to plead for a patient. During his visit, he reportedly got into a dispute with a female junior doctor. The situation escalated when Kashyap began recording a video of the incident inside the hospital premises, which infuriated the doctors on duty.
In response, the junior doctors locked Kashyap inside a room for approximately three hours and allegedly beat him, causing injuries.
The doctors were upset over what they perceived as Kashyap’s inappropriate behaviour toward the female doctor, which led to the confrontation, the news outlet quoted its sources as saying.
While the junior doctors accuse Kashyap of misconduct, the YouTuber’s supporters have denied these allegations, claiming that he was unjustly confined and assaulted.
Interestingly, an associate of Kashyap later downplayed the issue, stating that no such incident occurred at the hospital, added the report.
Abdul Haleem, Pirbahor Police Station in-charge, confirmed that the police had intervened, and both parties reportedly came to an understanding. According to the police, no formal complaint has been filed by either side, and the matter has been resolved privately.

Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi loses Jorhat seat by 23,000 votes
Jorhat: Senior Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi has been defeated in the Jorhat constituency, losing by a margin of around 23,000 votes.
Gogoi, who has been one of the prominent faces of the Congress in Assam, failed to win the seat as counting concluded.
