Amaravati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have reportedly spoken to Chandra Babu Naidu after the Telugu Desam Party dominated both in the Assembly and Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.

This comes after reports suggested that the Congress senior leadership was in touch with TDP chief following him emerging as the Kingmaker. In addition, sources also indicated that the Congress party was trying to contact Janata Dal (United).

Sources also indicated that Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) President Sharad Pawar has contacted the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Meanwhile uncertainty looms over the JD(U) and TDP joining the INDIA alliance, as their role is important for the National Democratic Alliance to stay in power.

As per ECI result trends at 1:20 PM, the Telugu Desam Party is currently leading in 131 seats, winning 1, while the ruling YSRCP managed to maintain lead in only 17 seats.
