PM Modi congratulates TVK chief Vijay on taking oath as Tamil Nadu CM
New Delhi (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated TVK chief C Joseph Vijay on taking oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, and said the central government will keep working with the state government to improve the lives of people.
TVK chief and its Legislature Party Leader Vijay was sworn in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister on Sunday. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office and secrecy in a colourful ceremony held in Chennai.
"Congratulations to Thiru C. Joseph Vijay on taking oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Best wishes for his tenure ahead. The Central Government will keep working with the Tamil Nadu Government to improve the lives of people," Modi said in a post on 'X'.

3 killed, 4 injured in truck-autorickshaw collision in UP
Shahjahanpur (UP) (PTI): Three people were killed and four injured in a collision between a truck and an autorickshaw here on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Saurabh Dixit said the truck was coming from the Jalalabad side and the auto-rickshaw from the opposite direction.
Due to the impact of the collision, Ramkshatriya (28), an unidentified 40-year-old woman and Kallu (45) died on the spot, the SP said.
On receiving information about the accident, police rescued four injured people, who were admitted to the government medical college for treatment. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, Dixit said.
The truck driver fled the scene after the accident and the vehicle has been seized. Efforts are underway to trace the driver, police said.
