New Delhi: Prominent Indian lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan recently took to social media platform 'X' to criticize Prime Minister Narendra Modi for attending a high-profile wedding hosted by industrialist Mukesh Ambani. Bhushan’s post highlighted the perceived contradiction between Modi's actions and his previous accusations against Ambani.

Bhushan’s tweet read: "A few days back he was accusing Ambani of sending money to Congress in tempos. Instead of investigating this, Modi attended Ambani’s obscene & grotesque wedding yesterday by stopping traffic in half of Mumbai. Rahul & Sonia did not attend despite Ambani going to 10 Janpath with invite."

The activist shared a video clip of Modi accusing Ambani of providing financial support to the Congress party. Earlier this year, Modi had suggested that the Congress had a "deal" with industrialists Ambani and Adani, alleging that the party received "tempo loads of black money" from them to stop criticizing their businesses.

Modi's remarks came as a counter to the Congress party's allegations that the Prime Minister was favoring the country's top industrialists, including Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. The Congress has repeatedly accused Modi of bias towards these businessmen, arguing that his policies disproportionately benefit the wealthiest individuals in India.

In the midst of this ongoing political feud, Mukesh Ambani hosted a grand wedding in Mumbai, which saw the attendance of numerous high-profile guests, including Prime Minister Modi. Bhushan’s criticism pointed out that Modi’s presence at the event was inconsistent with his earlier accusations against Ambani, suggesting a lack of seriousness in addressing the alleged financial misconduct.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi did not attend the wedding, despite Ambani personally inviting them at their residence, 10 Janpath.

"Bodies of all four workers were dug out of debris during a rescue operation," Putki police station in-charge Waqar Hussain told PTI.

The incident took place when coal slurry was being loaded into trucks by workers, during which a large chunk of slurry fell and trapped several workers underneath, officials said.

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased and local villagers placed the bodies in front of the washery gate and began a protest.
