Bhopal: Prominent Muslim scholar and freedom fighter Mufti Abdul Razzaq passed away in Bhopal late on Wednesday night aged 95.

He was the national vice president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. He established Madrasa Islamia Arabia, the old and largest Islamic seminary in Bhopal. He was the patron of various Islamic seminaries in Madhya Pradesh. He was the vice-president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind. He was also the state president of the Darul Uloom Deoband's "Rābta Madāris-e-Islamiya" for Madhya Pradesh. In January 2021, the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, honored Razzāq for his participation in the Indian freedom struggle.[6]

Abdul Razzaq was born on 13 August 1932. He graduated from the Darul Uloom Deoband where he studied with Meraj-ul-Haq Deobandi and Hussain Ahmad Madani.

Considering the popularity and his large number of followers, police have taken precautionary majors to avoid a large congregation during his last rites because of the corona curfew. The police have put barricades at prominent squares and roads of old city areas and police officers along with district administration are also appealing to people to avoid gathering because of the Corona curfew.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh and former CM Kamal Nath were among the figures who condoled the death of Mufti.

Sent in to bat, Tilak Varma hit a 33-ball 59 to power Mumbai Indians to 205 for five.

Ryan Rickelton (41 off 25 balls), Suryakumar Yadav (40 off 28 balls) and Naman Dhir (38 off 17 balls) also made useful contributions.

In reply, DC were all out for 193 in 19 overs, despite Karun Nair's 40-ball 89.

Karn Sharma (3/36) claimed three wickets, while Mitchell Santner (2/43) took two wickets.

For DC, Vipraj Nigam (2/41) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/23) snapped two wickets each, while Mukesh Kumar (1/38) took one.
