Protest against bad state of national highway on August 1: Ivan D’Souza
Bengaluru: MLC Ivan D’Souza has stated that a protest against the pathetic condition of the National Highway will be staged by blocking road near Pump Well at 11 am on August 1.
At a press conference, the MLC severely condemned the highway chaos and said that MPs Nalin Kumar Kateel and Shobha Karandlaje have shown utter negligence towards the National Highway. Those who have to raise voice regarding the National Highway infrastructure in the parliament are just submitting requests. Highway roads in DK and Udupi districts are pathetic. The central projects are not being implemented properly in the Karavali, he said.

Illegally stored gas cylinders seized
Thane (PTI): Authorities have seized illegally stored 1,839 gas cylinders and seven vehicles worth over Rs 67 lakh in the Dombivli MIDC area of Thane district, officials said on Saturday.
A special vigilance team of the Mumbai Rationing Department detected an illegal storage of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders in Phase-2 of Dombivli (East).
Cylinders belonging to multiple gas agencies were found stockpiled in closed vehicles, unauthorised warehouses, and open sheds without mandatory permissions from the Explosives Department, Fire Department, or oil companies, according to an official release.
