Rupee inches closer to 73, hits 72.91 Against US Dollar
Mumbai, Sep 12 : Continuing its downward trend, the Indian rupee hit a new low of Rs 72.91 on Wednesday morning. The rupee has been on a down slide owing to inflationary pressure and decline among its global peers against the dollar.
On Wednesday, it opened at a low of 72.78 per dollar, against the previous close 72.69 per dollar.

Mangaluru: Accused sent to judicial custody in unisex salon vandalism case
Mangaluru: Fourteen Rama Sena activists, including their leader Prasad Attavar, have been remanded to two weeks of judicial custody following their involvement in the vandalism of Colors Unisex Salon near Bejai here on Thursday.
The activists reportedly stormed into the salon, alleging that immoral activities were taking place on the premises. They caused significant damage by breaking furniture, while also assaulting, insulting, and verbally abusing the staff before fleeing the scene.

Barke police arrested all 14 individuals, including Prasad Attavar. Following their arrest, the accused were presented before the court on Friday, and the court issued a judicial custody to the accused.
