SC asks UP Government to conclude enquiry on Dr. Kafeel Khan time; orders Govt. to pay Khan's dues
New Delhi: A Supreme Court Bench on Friday ordered the Yogi Adityanath led UP Government to conclude the enquiry regarding Dr. Kafeel Khan timely and to pay all subsistence allowant payable to Khan pending his suspension.
Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Indira Banerjee asked the UP government to honour the Allahabad HC order which had on March 7, 2019, asked the UP Govt. to conclude departmental inquiry against Dr. Khan within 90 days.
In a video posted on his twitter account, Dr. Khan spoke about the order. In another tweet he thanked his counsels Senior Advocate Meenakshi Arora, Advocate Fuzail Ahmad Ayyubi and Ibad Mushtaque for arguing his case pro bono.

Karnataka Governor Gehlot greets people on Yugadi
Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the eve of Yugadi.
In his message, the Governor wished for happiness, health and prosperity for all in the new year.
"Warmest greetings to the people of Karnataka on the occasion of Ugadi. May this new year bring happiness, health, and prosperity to everyone's life. May all the bitterness of life be removed and sweetness like jaggery be in your life," he said.
