SC gives green signal for construction of Temple on disputed land; Muslims to get alternative land
New Delhi: The bench led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi which heard the historic Ram Janma Bhoomi case commenced pronouncing verdict in the case on Saturday 10:30 am.
The Supreme Court decided that alternative land to be allotted to Muslims to construct mosque, while it gave green signal for construction of Ram Mandir on the disputed land.
In its initial observation, the court maintained that the Court should preserve balance. It also acknowledged that the “Mosque was built by Mir Baqi on order of Babur”.
Babri Masjid not constructed on vacant land. There was a structure underlying the disputed structure. The underlying structure was not an Islamic structure, the bench observed.
Final directions: Suit 3 by Nirmohi Akhara dismissed as barred by limitation. Suit 4 and suit 5 within limitation. Central Govt should within 3 months formulate a scheme envisaging setting up of Trust Possession of inner and outer courtyards to be handed over to the Trust.

Trump threatens China with 50% tariffs if it sends arms to Iran
Washington (AP): The US president said his threat to impose 50% tariffs on goods from countries that sold weapons to Iran was aimed at China.
Trump told Fox News' “Sunday Morning Futures” that has heard reports of China giving anti-aircraft “shoulder missiles” to Iran. He played down the possibility of China supplying weapons to Iran, but said their goods would be taxed if they did.
“I doubt they would do that, because I have a relationship, and I think they wouldn't do that, but maybe they did a little bit at the beginning,” Trump said. “But if we catch them doing that, they get a 50% tariff.”
