Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, challenging the Governor's sanction for prosecution in the MUDA case.

A bench led by Justice M. Nagaprasanna upheld the Governor's decision, paving the way for further legal proceedings.

With the petition's rejection, discussions have emerged regarding Siddaramaiah's legal options. The CM's legal team is expected to file an appeal before a division bench of the High Court.

After receiving the single bench's order around 2:30 pm, Siddaramaiah's lawyer could seek an urgent hearing and request an interim stay on the decision.

Alternatively, the CM may approach the Supreme Court. There is also the possibility of filing another petition in the High Court after reviewing the order by the special court of people's representatives.
