Bengaluru: Telugu actress Hema has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in connection with an ongoing investigation into a rave party held in Bengaluru. Hema, who attempted to evade media by appearing before the CCB in a burqa, was among the 16 individuals summoned for questioning in the case last month.
In May, the CCB issued notices to Hema and others, instructing them to present themselves for interrogation. Despite this, Hema initially tried to mislead the authorities by releasing a video claiming she was not in Bengaluru at the time of the raid. However, the CCB's investigation contradicted her statement, leading to her arrest.
The news of Hema's arrest was shared by journalist Mohammed Zubair on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
