Jaipur (PTI): Three men were killed, and another suffered serious injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on near a village in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district on Sunday morning, police said.

The accident occurred when two motorcycles, carrying two persons each, crashed into each other at high speed in Nathoon village in the Jahazpur police station area, Station House Officer Lokpal Singh said.

Locals and passersby gathered at the spot and rushed all four injured to the Jahazpur hospital in an ambulance.

According to police, Jitendra (35) and Narendra (36) died in the accident. Both were travelling on the same motorcycle.

Vishal (19), who was riding the second motorcycle, also succumbed to his injuries.

Police said Vishal and Rahul were on their way to appear for the Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology examination in Jahazpur, while Jitendra and Narendra had left home for some personal work.

The bodies were handed over to the families after post-mortem, police added.

Mangaluru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on Sunday morning after his vehicle collided with a tanker from behind near Arkula Bridge, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Ashfaq (22), a resident of Farangipete.

According to reports, the tanker was heading towards BC Road when the two-wheeler rammed into it from behind near a furniture shop close to Arkula Bridge. Ashfaq sustained severe injuries.

He was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Padil where he recived initial treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries while being taken to another private hospital in the city for further treatment, police added.

Traffic police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
