Three of a family run over by train in Chikkaballapur
Chikkaballapur (PTI): Three members of a family including the husband and wife were run over by a train in Gauribidanur in the district on Monday morning, police said.
Police have started investigation into the matter. However, they suspect it to be a case of a suicide pact.
According to police, the incident occurred at Thondebhavi village in Gauribidanur Taluk where the mutilated bodies of a man and his wife and their daughter were found on the railway tracks.

Man opens fire at Sukhbir Badal outside Golden Temple, nabbed
Amritsar (PTI): Former Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal was shot at by a man while he was performing the duty of 'sewadar' outside the Golden Temple here on Wednesday. Badal, who was sitting in a wheelchair, escaped unhurt as the bullet hit a wall.
The man, identified as Narain Singh, was overpowered by some people standing outside the Golden Temple.
