Dehradun: A truck loaded with mangoes overturned on Rispana Bridge in Uttarakhand's Dehradun, triggering a chaotic scene as locals rushed to collect the spilled fruit, reported India Today on Thursday.

While no injuries were reported, the incident quickly went viral after a video surfaced on social media, showing group of passersby and local residents scrambling to gather mangoes. Some were seen carrying bags, baskets, and even sacks to collect the fruit.

The scene resembled a "free mango fair," with the road crowded by people gathered to grab as many mangoes as they could.

Traffic on the bridge was briefly disrupted, but local police arrived quickly, cleared the vehicle from the road, and restored normal traffic flow.

The video prompted criticism online, with many users questioning the public’s behaviour. “Everyone in the country is just waiting for an opportunity to rise to loot others. No wonder the politicians in our country are such big thieves too, they're just a reflection of our society and most people in their position would do the same,” a user wrote. Another remarked, “Helping takes effort, looting takes greed. Guess what wins?”
