New Delhi, June 12: A 19-year-old youth, who snatched a woman's bag containing money, her phone and other valuables was arrested within 12 hours of the crime, police said on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, North, Jatin Narwal said accused Harsh Verma snatched the bag from a 30-year-old woman at FK Block, Shastri Nagar on Sunday around 6 p.m. and was arrested on Monday morning. "The bag was recovered after his arrest."
He said that the team collected CCTV footage of the surroundings, whose close monitoring gave clues about the vehicle the snatcher was on and this was found at the accused's residence in Shastri Nagar, enabling police to apprehend him.

Chennai: Veteran Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh, aged 80, passed away at his residence in Ramapuram, Chennai, last night at 11:30 pm, after battling age-related health issues. His last rites are set to be performed today.
Delhi Ganesh had an illustrious career in Tamil cinema and served in the Indian Air Force from 1964 to 1974 before debuting in films with Pattina Pravesam (1970), directed by K. Balachander.
Known for his versatile roles, he starred in over 400 films, including iconic movies like Sindhu Bhairavi (1985), Nayagan (1987), Apoorva Sagodharargal (1989), Michael Madana Kama Rajan (1990), Aaahaa (1997), and Thenali (2000). His final screen appearance was in Indian 2, released in 2024.
