Bihar: Real estate brokers illegally build bridge on river to increase prices of adjoining lands

A small bridge has been illegally constructed on a river in Bihar's Purnea district allegedly by real estate brokers in a bid to increase the prices of adjoining tracts in which they had stakes, officials said on Friday.

In the 2023 state elections, the Indian National Congress (INC) secured a resounding victory in Karnataka, buoyed significantly by overwhelming support from the Muslim community. Reports indicate that approximately 88% of Muslims across the state voted for Congress, with a staggering 99% support in around 130 seats - the highest number of seats won by the party in the state legislative assembly in recent decades. This decisive mandate, however, now appears to have been squandered.
