Two men fatally attacked by cow vigilantes on suspicion of cow smuggling in lemon transport truck

A group of around 20 cow vigilantes brutally assaulted a driver and his companion in Sadulpur, Rajasthan’s Churu District, late on Sunday night. The victims were transporting lemons from Jaipur to Punjab when they were intercepted by vigilantes on suspicion of cattle smuggling.


Assam flood situation worsens, over 11 lakh people suffering

The flood situation in Assam deteriorated drastically on Tuesday with three more people losing their lives and more than 11.3 lakh people reeling under the deluge across 23 districts, an official bulletin said.

The Uttar Pradesh Police on Wednesday lodged an FIR against the organisers of the religious congregation in Hathras where 121 people died in a stampede, accusing them of hiding evidence and flouting conditions with 2.5 lakh people gathering for the event in which only 80,000 were permitted.
