SC protects TV news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary from arrest in FIR lodged in Jharkhand

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday granted protection from arrest to news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary in connection with an FIR lodged in Ranchi for allegedly making objectionable remarks on air after the then Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in January.

 


CAA rules likely to be notified on Monday

New Delhi: The rules for implementation of the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA) are likely to be notified on Monday to facilitate the granting of citizenship to undocumented non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, according to sources.
