Not in 'public interest' to disclose quantity of uranium extracted in country: Govt

New Delhi: There are a total of eight uranium mines in the country, but it is not in the "public interest" to disclose the quantity of uranium extracted from these mines, the Rajya Sabha was informed on Thursday.

New Delhi: Under the government's vehicle scrapping policy, about 5 per cent rebate on new cars would be offered to buyers on scrapping of old vehicles, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari told Parliament on Thursday and termed it a "win-win" policy that will help improve fuel efficiency and reduce pollution.
