18-year-old Masood who was assaulted by eight men on July 19, passes away in Mangaluru hospital
Ballare: 18-year-old boy Masood who had sustained critical injuries after a brutal assault by a group of people, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Thursday afternoon.
A resident of Kasargod district, Masood was attacked on the night of July 19, at Kalanje village over a minor issue. He was assaulted by eight men. He had sustained critical head injuries after being hit on the head with soda bottles.
Masood was shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru where he was being treated for his injuries. He breathed his last on Thursday afternoon.

Trump says suspect was armed with multiple weapons at WH correspondents' dinner
Washington (PTI): President Donald Trump is addressing reporters at the White House after he and other top leaders of the United States were evacuated from an annual dinner of White House correspondents on Saturday night after a shooting incident outside the ballroom.
Trump said the suspect was armed with multiple weapons before stopped by Secret Service. One officer was shot, but he was protected by a bulletproof vest.
“He was shot from very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the vest did the job,” Trump said.
