Puttur: A 19-year-old girl, Roopa, who had gone missing from Mundaje in Padur village on July 1 has reportedly been found in Bengaluru.
Roopa, who is the daughter of Mantu Paswan, a manual worker in Udupi, and Girija Devi, who works in a nursing home in Mangaluru, lived in Mundaje with her brother.
On July 1, she reportedly left home telling her brother she was visiting a photocopy shop but did not return. The family approached the Puttur Women Police and a missing case was registered. The complaint also mentioned that Roopa's phone was switched off and they found that had she had visited neither her friends' nor their relatives' houses.
The police probed into the matter, and have reportedly found Roopa in Bengaluru.

Thane (PTI): Authorities have seized illegally stored 1,839 gas cylinders and seven vehicles worth over Rs 67 lakh in the Dombivli MIDC area of Thane district, officials said on Saturday.
A special vigilance team of the Mumbai Rationing Department detected an illegal storage of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders in Phase-2 of Dombivli (East).
Cylinders belonging to multiple gas agencies were found stockpiled in closed vehicles, unauthorised warehouses, and open sheds without mandatory permissions from the Explosives Department, Fire Department, or oil companies, according to an official release.
