Mangaluru: Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has informed that all the shops in the Dakshina Kannada district would be permitted to resume operations from morning until 2 pm beginning from June 23rd.
Individuals running Textile, Xerox, Footwear, and other businesses had earlier complained that it was becoming difficult to earn their daily living and had appealed to the Chief Minister regarding the same. In the background of this development, beginning from June 23rd, Wednesday morning to afternoon, all shops in the district will be permitted to open their business for operations, District In-Charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary informed.
“As we are currently in a difficult situation, the Chief Minister has urged the government to take steps to reduce the positivity rate in the district. Businesses must operate by strictly adhering to COVID regulations”, the Minister said.

New Delhi (PTI): A Leh-bound SpiceJet aircraft returned to the national capital due to an engine issue on Tuesday morning, according to a source.
There were around 150 people on board the Boeing 737 aircraft that was operating the flight SG121, the source added.
When contacted, a SpiceJet spokesperson said a flight operating from Delhi to Leh on Tuesday returned to Delhi after experiencing a technical issue.
"The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and all passengers were disembarked normally," the spokesperson said in a statement.
The source said the aircraft suffered an engine issue.
