Mangaluru: A 67-year old woman hailing from Bantwal, tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday April 21, according to the State bulletin issued by health department on Tuesday morning.
The woman has been identified as a resident of Bantwal Pete, and is a neighbour of the woman who died due to COVID-19 on Sunday at District Wenlock Hospital.
It is believed that the woman might have been in contact with the patient who died on Sunday and might have transmitted the virus through her.
The patient was admitted to Wenlock Hospital on April 18 due to breathing problem where her swabs were sent for COVID-19 testing. The reports returned as positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday morning.

Defending 195, Hyderabad restricted struggling CSK to 184 for eight. CSK have crashed to fourth defeat in six matches.
Abhishek Sharma (59) and Heinrich Klaasen (59) took CSK to 194 for nine with their splendid batting. For CSK, Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj picked up three wickets apiece while Mukesh Choudhary bagged two.
