Bantwal: In a road mishap 15 goats were killed when the truck carrying them was hit by a college bus on Friday at Mittur near Mani in Bantwal Taluk here.

The mishap also injured a teacher and the bus driver of college bus, while killing at least 15 goats. The students miraculously escaped with minor injuries.

According to the reports the truck carrying goats was heading towards Puttur from Mangaluru when it collided with a private college bus. The bus is reportedly of Markaz Shariat College in Kumbra.

Vittla Police visited the spot and registered a case in this regard.

A KSRTC bus crashed into a paddy field at Sreerampura near K R Nagar in Mysuru on Monday. More than 30 passengers were injured in the accident.

The KSRTC bus was on its way to Mysuru from Saligrama. Reports state that the steering wheel of the bus broke off when it reached the spot, resulting in the accident. Among the injured passengers, many were wounded in hands and legs.

Ambulances rushed to the area to take the injured to hospital. K R Nagar police inspected the spot of the accident and registered a case in this regard, sources said.
