Bantwal, August 14: Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil has instructed to begin a rehabilitation center at Sharda School in Panemangaluru rural for the families who are in danger and affected by floods.

The authorities passed the instructions after visiting the flood-affected areas in Bantwal Taluk on Tuesday afternoon.

People are in trouble as the flood water has been clogged in the low-lying areas at many places including Panemangaluru, Baddakatte, Military Ground, Aladka, Jakribettu, Bastipadpu, Kanchikara Pete, Nandavara, Sajipamunnur. As flood is expected to create more trouble, the DC has instructed the authorities to take up the necessary action.

People in this area do not need to worry about the floods. The District Administration is preparing, and proper arrangements will be made.

Bantwal Tahsildar Purandara Hegde, Commander Rekha J Shetty, Revenue Officers, Bantwal Rural police constables, fire servicemen and others visited the affected areas.

Also going unsold were New Zealand batting stars Kane Williamson and Glenn Phillips.

South African veteran Faf du Plessis and West Indies' Rovman Powell were bought for Rs two crore and Rs 1.50 crore by Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively, but seasoned India batter Ajinkya Rahane went unsold.

The unsold players can find buyers later in the day during the accelerated auction if their names are given by the franchises.
