Bantwal, August 14: The Netravati River is flowing at the height of 9.3 m following the heavy rains over the past two days in the Western Ghats.
A flood like situation has been created at various locations in Bantwal when rivers and streams were filled after the gates of Shamboor Dam were opened.
The water flow of the Netravati River, which has crossed the danger mark on Monday night, has entered into the low-lying areas this morning and flooded there. As the water level rises, there is an increased risk for people.
