Bantwal: SDPI candidate Riyaz Farangipet, who was fielded to contest from Bantwal Assembly constituency, has now decided to withdraw his nomination.
"The party has taken this decision to defeat communalism and save democracy," Riyaz Farangapeti told Varthabharati.
“In the current elections, the secular parties have to win a large number of seats. If SDPI contests, there are chances of secular votes getting divided and in turn communalists may get benefit out of this. Due to this reason, experts in the party have taken this decision. I am committed to the decision of the party,” Riyaz Farangipet stated.
