Bantwal: An Ajekal woman died during childbirth at a private hospital in Mangaluru on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ajekal resident Usha (29), wife of Uday Kulal.

Usha was admitted to a private hospital on BC Road on Saturday morning for a second childbirth. She developed labour pain in the evening. It has been said that around 8 pm, the doctors asked advised her family members to take her to Mangaluru Hospital for some reason.

However, Usha's family members confirmed that Usha died in a Mangaluru hospital after childbirth.
