Bantwal: Youth jumps to death in Netravati River
Bantwal: A 35-year-old man committed suicide by jumping into Netravati River near Brahmarakutlu-Talapady Bridge.
The victim has been identified as Madange resident Harish, a mestri by profession.
Traffic was disrupted for a while on the National Highway as a large number of motorists and coworkers gathered on the bridge.
Bantwal police visited the spot and launched the investigation.
Talapady divers Mustafa, Saleem, Shahul Hameed, Basheer, M.K Harris, Arif, Tajuddin, and Anwar K.H conducted the underwater search in the river and found the dead body and brought it up.

The hearing of H D Revanna’s bail plea for the alleged kidnap of a rape victim from K R Nagar in Mysore has been postponed to Monday.
The Bengaluru Special Court for People’s Representatives, which heard lengthy arguments and counter arguments in the case on Thursday, postponed the hearing to May 13 for further enquires. This has been a blow to the Former Minister who was expecting a bail. Revanna will be spending the week in Parappana Agrahara now.
