Bantwala: Man rapes woman on false promise of marriage, arrested
Bantwala, Feb 14: Local police arrested a youth on charges of raping a girl after promising her to getting married and rejected later.
The accused has been identified as Sujith of Nooji Baltila village in Puttur taluk, police said.
About incident
Hailed from Bagalkot district, the victim has been working at stone quarry for two years at Neerapade near Baltila village. Sujith who was working as excavator driver in the same quarry, promised her of getting married and raped her. But later, he declined to marry her, it was said in the complaint.

Tehran: Iranian media have confirmed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed, Al Jazeera reported, citing Iranian news agencies.
According to the report, Iranian outlets Tasnim News Agency and Fars News Agency have confirmed the death of Khamenei.
