Barrier wall of Vitla police accommodation collapses on house amid heavy rain
Vitla: Continuous heavy rain since last night has caused the barrier wall of the Vitla police station's accommodation to collapse. The wall and the mound behind the residence, where Vitla police station staff live, fell onto the neighboring house of Aisha Ponnottu, causing significant damage.
There are concerns about further landslides, as seized vehicles parked within the police accommodation premises are also at risk of falling onto the house.
Locals revealed that Aisha had previously submitted a request to the town panchayat, but no action was taken.
