Bhatkal: An 18-year-old boy died of electrocution when he came in contact with a live wire while saving his younger brother on the terrace of his home At car street in front of Corporation Bank here this evening.

The deceased has been identified as Fahad Maniyar, son of Faruq Maniyar.

It has been reported that Fahad was playing with his younger brother Amzaf Maniyar on the terrace of their house. Accidentally, Amzaf fell from the terrace. When Fahad rushed to save him, he suddenly came into contact with a live wire and succumbed to the injuries.

Younger brother Amzaf has sustained serious injuries and is being treated at a Kundapur hospital.
