Bikarnakatte: Pregnant woman commits suicide
Mangaluru: A 31-year-old pregnant woman committed suicide by hanging herself on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Saujanya Lane near Bikarnkatte in Padavu Yeshwant’s wife, Sumati.
It has been suspected that the disputes in the lives of Yashwant and Sumati might have led the woman to take this extreme step.
While Yashwant was an electrical contractor by profession, Sumati was a housewife. Recently disputes among the couple had come to the fore. Following which, Sumati reportedly took this extreme step.
Mangaluru Rural police have registered a case.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
