Mangaluru: In a tragic incident that occurred at midnight in the outskirts of the city, a car rammed into a tree at Kulai, resulting in the death of a woman passenger, leaving three others with grievous injuries on Wednesday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Suhana (26), who was originally from Krishnapura Chokkabettu Town, but of recent residing at Bondel. In the car, Suhana was accompanied by her sister Fathima Shoureen, brothers Raahil Shameem and Razik Shahaan, who have reportedly sustained grievous injuries. It has been learned that the injured have been taken to a private hospital.
The four siblings were preparing to attend a wedding program at Chikmagalur on Thursday, and had gone into the town on Wednesday. While returning to Krishnapura Chokkabettu with a parcel of food, their car crashed into a tree at Kulai. Reportedly, Raahil Shameem, who was driving the car had swerved the car at the last moment in a bid to escape collision with an oncoming car and lost control of the vehicle, which led to the accident.
While all four siblings in the car sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital, Suhana did not respond to the treatment and passed away at 1:33 AM, roughly few hours after the tragic accident. Suhana is survived by her husband and two sons.
It has been said that the severity of the impact has completely totaled the car.
In this regard, Muhammed Riyaz has lodged a complaint at the North Traffic Police Station, where a case has been registered.
